TVR Wiki

Restoration notes, model reference, and the messy reality of keeping British sports cars alive.

A working set of notes about owning and restoring TVRs — written by someone in the middle of doing it, not from a textbook. Some pages are deep; some are stubs that will fill in as the work happens.

Cars

Model-by-model reference: Cerbera, Tuscan, Sagaris, Griffith, Chimera. Years, engines, what to look for, what to avoid.

Engines

The TVR-designed AJP8 (V8) and Speed Six (straight-six) — basic facts, common faults, and links to the deep ECU territory.

Mods & conversions

Real-world modifications walked through honestly. Quad headlamp conversions, suspension bush replacement, DIY 3D-printed parts.

Restoration arcs

The Cheapest TVR Cerbera build, episode by episode, with cross-links to the YouTube videos.

Most TVR information lives in scattered forum threads, Facebook groups, and one or two paid resources. This wiki is an attempt to put what I learn from each restoration session into a single searchable place, with honest notes about what worked and what didn’t.

It’s built and maintained as a side-effect of the mattgreenworks YouTube channel — every PT video adds a page or two here.
